All of these independent bridal designers sewed couture wedding gowns that range in styles from vintage to modern. Usually independent designers have the freedom to focus on specific style niches that appeal to brides with unique desires.

During New York Bridal week we spoke briefly with Rania Hatoum, who is stylish in her own right. The wedding gown designer wore a coral blazer with matching dress shorts and she adores fashion designer Elie Saab. Her trendy personal style is replicated in her new collection of wedding gowns.

Rania Hatoum characterizes her wedding gown collection as very modern for trendy women who are fashion forward. When Rania isn’t designing for contemporary brides, she is cooking gourmet food and vacationing back home in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a very modern cultural city, so she is influenced by the city’s special vibe.
