Movie Wedding Dresses: Snow White a.k.a Mirror Mirror’s Pretty Princess Wedding Dresses
Actress Julia Roberts stars in the new rendition of the classic princess fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The new, more politically correct title is “Mirror Mirror.” All of the brides in this movie won’t want to move from in front of the mirror, because their stunning wedding dresses are designed by the recently late costume designer Eiko Ishioka. Eiko Ishioka passed away in January from cancer, after making all of the extravagant dresses for the movie.
Mirror Mirror depicts a love triangle between the Queen, Snow White and the Princess. We can’t wait to see the drama that leads up to the winning wedding!
The Queen, played by Julia Roberts, wears one of the most beautiful movie wedding dresses of all time. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Queen’s wedding dress weighed “60 lbs and was 8 ft in diameter.” It’s a ball gown shaped dress with curved, feather like, layers. No wait, Snow White, played by Lily Collins, wears a wondrous white dress that is the visualization of dreams had by many brides around the world. Snow White’s blue and orange wedding dress symbolizes breaking free from confines of rigid wedding traditions.
While not a wedding dress, this white dress’ style is like many princess wedding gowns made today. It has a lace overlay bodice with cap sleeves and a full skirt made of satin.
Here are just two of hundreds of princess like wedding dresses that can be found in our wedding dress gallery.
