Cosmopolitan Couture: Designer Rania Hatoum Contemporizes the Wedding Gown
During New York Bridal week we spoke briefly with Rania Hatoum, who is stylish in her own right. The wedding gown designer wore a coral blazer with matching dress shorts and she adores fashion designer Elie Saab. Her trendy personal style is replicated in her new collection of wedding gowns.
Rania Hatoum characterizes her wedding gown collection as very modern for trendy women who are fashion forward. When Rania isn’t designing for contemporary brides, she is cooking gourmet food and vacationing back home in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a very modern cultural city, so she is influenced by the city’s special vibe.
Besides being inspired by her home city, she loves to shop in Hong Kong, where she got her most recent pair of shoes from her favorite designer Christial Louboutin, “they are cheaper there” she shares! Rania also told us that the biggest mistake brides make when picking out a wedding gown is ” listening to the mom, the grand-mom & best friend, only listen to their own instincts and what feels right to them.”
