Pop star Lily Allen married boyfriend Sam Cooper during a small ceremony at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire, England this past Saturday. The bride was decked in a lacy, almost vintage number designed by French designer Delphine Manivet. Lace seems to be a big trend this year amongst celebrity brides. Both Nicole Richie and Kate Middleton wore beautiful lace dresses on their wedding day.

Today we revisit this stunning Christian Lacroix wedding dress worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones at her 2000 wedding to Michael Douglas. We love the classic look of this dress. French wedding dress designer Cymbeline has been making gorgeous, feminine designs for more than 40 years. The success of Cymbeline begins with the story of three sisters, Evelyne, Chantal and Monique, who decided to revolutionize wedding dress fashion more than 30 years ago. They began in Nemours, in the heart of Seine et Marne in France. Most wedding dresses at that time were too formal and lacking in originality. In order to update the concept of the contemporary wedding dress, the three sisters combined their dressmaking skills and set up their own manufacturing workshop in an old 17th century mill. They designed their very first gowns, which were full of the modern freshness brides at that time were looking for.

After about a couple of years, the brand asserted itself on the market thanks to its creativity and the quality of its designs. Today, the mill in Nemours continues to develop gorgeous wedding dresses, and the three Cymbeline sisters are still giving thousands of brides-to-be the chance to share their dreams by combining quality, grace and originality.
