A New Class of Talented Wedding Dress Designers
The latest issue of Vogue UK is entirely devoted to weddings with some special attention paid to the upcoming and highly anticipated royal wedding. In their Vogue Spy section they highlight the recent crop of new talent who are making huge splashes within the bridal world, people like Jason Wu, J.Crew and Matthew Williamson to name a few. Check out the rest of the designers on the list below:
Jason Wu
His new bridal collection made its debut on Net-A-Porter earlier this year.
Matthew Williamson
His dazzling collection of one-shouldered looks, white feathers and bandaged bodices was both beautiful and trendsetting.
J.Crew
Their new collection boasts clean lines and subtle details.
BLHDN
This wasn’t on Vogue’s list, but we love BLHDN, the new bridal line from Urban Outfitters. Their unique, vintage look really sets them apart.
Charlotte Olympia
Charlottle Dellal’s gorgeous collection of bridal shoes will look good even after the wedding.
Badgley Mischka‘s style is described as “red-carpet-designed evening wear.” Their bridal line offers sophisticated options and it is a unique way for brides who are not able to shop their ready-to-wear collection to finally be able to wear the label on their wedding day like so many celebrities.
The Tara Keely collection is a capsule affordable line produced by JLM Couture. Though the collection is smaller than their Lazaro or Jim Hjelm line, we really loved every piece, and the price points are excellent.
There is always a thread of timeless European Couture elegance in Carolina Herrera‘s wedding dress collections. This season offered some color, floral details, sleeves and illusion necklines. Here are some of our favorites.
